How We Work
A thoughtful, personalized approach to functional health coaching that meets you where you are and supports meaningful, lasting change.
The Coaching Approach
Functional health coaching is a collaborative process. Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, we look at patterns across your health, lifestyle, stress, and daily habits to better understand what your body is asking for.
Coaching provides structure, education, and ongoing support so you’re not navigating changes on your own. Together, we focus on progress over perfection and building habits that feel sustainable in real life.
What Coaching Includes
While every client’s experience is personalized, coaching typically includes:
-
One-on-one support and accountability
-
Education to help you better understand your body
-
Lifestyle and nutrition guidance tailored to your needs
-
Space to adjust and refine your plan as your body responds
This work is designed to support long-term wellbeing, not quick fixes.
When Labs Are Helpful
In some cases, reviewing functional lab data can provide helpful insight and guide personalization. Labs are never required and are always used thoughtfully, based on your goals and needs.
Areas we may explore include:
-
Hormone & Stress Patterns
Markers related to cortisol rhythm, thyroid patterns, and reproductive hormones. -
Gut Health & Digestion
Information about microbiome balance, inflammation, and digestive function. -
Metabolic & Blood Sugar Markers
Patterns that influence energy, weight regulation, and metabolic flexibility. -
Nutrient Status & Inflammation
Key nutrients and markers that support energy, mood, and resilience.
Lab reviews are educational in nature and meant to complement, not replace, appropriate medical care.
What Coaching Is (and Isn't)
Coaching is:
-
Supportive and collaborative
-
Personalized and flexible
-
Focused on education, habits, and lifestyle
-
Designed to work alongside medical care
Coaching is not:
-
Medical diagnosis or treatment
-
A replacement for working with a physician
-
A one-size-fits-all protocol
-
About perfection or rigid rules
Getting Started
The best first step is a conversation.
During a discovery call, we will talk through what you are experiencing, what kind of support might be most beneficial, and which coaching option feels like the best fit. It will be a great opportunity for you to ask questions and for us to get to know each other.
You don't need to have anything figured out before we talk. We will walk through it together.
